York City Rooftops
The architecture in central York is a wonderful mix of Roman, Gothic, modern red-brick and Yorkshire stone. Bootham Bar was once a major entry point to the walled city, whereas today it is flanked by the rooftops and chimneys of modern housing all nestled neatly beneath the imposing York Minster.
