ONE DAY PHOTOGRAPHIC COURSES - SMALL GROUP (max 4 people)

Choose from 3 stunning locations. The stunning lakeland scenery around Keswick, the architecture and parks of the city of York or the lovely waterfalls and valleys of the Yorkshire Dales around Wensleydale/Swaledale.

The perfect way to improve your photography. Spend a full day in the company of professional landscape photographer Chris Ceaser and receive plenty of friendly, individual personal tuition that will take your landscape photography to a higher level.

You will need your camera and a tripod. For info on ND Grad filters (which we use to balance the exposure between brighter skies and normally darker foregrounds) give me a call on 07920 044094. These are not essential but WILL make a big difference when shooting scenes with skies in.

Aimed directly at Digital SLR users the courses are carefully designed to cover essential techniques such as controlling exposure, focus techniques, compositional technique, controlling depth of field, use of filters etc. The workshops will offer a blend of discussion and practice out in the field, with the emphasis firmly on taking photographs. Indeed, the only time we will stop working in the field is to break for lunch and coffees.

The course content is flexible and therefore suited to photographers of all abilities ranging from competent camera club members to the most humble beginner. The small group size of just 4 photographers allows Chris to spend plenty of personal time with each person, ensuring you progress at your own speed. The workshops are informal and friendly and begin with a nice relaxing coffee as we plan the day ahead. The only things you would need are your camera and a tripod, although a set of Neutral Density Grad filters would be hugely beneficial with regard to balancing the exposure between brighter skies and darker foregrounds. Courses run over a whole day and normally finish around sunset. Even in Winter you will be assured of at least 6-7 hours actual photographic tuition, not including travel time etc.

After an initial meeting over a complimentary coffee we will head off into the landscape. There are no extras to pay. All you need to bring is a packed lunch, or simply buy a sandwich/salad etc on the day. The day will finish over a further complimentary coffee with a final Q&A session to answer any niggling questions or to have a quick review of a few of your images from the day.

YORK DAY
Meeting by the Art Gallery we will be working around this beautiful city, shooting along the river, the Minster area and the beautiful Museum Gardens areas.

YORKSHIRE DALES DAY
Meeting in Aysgarth we will be in the very heart of Wensleydale. Expect to shoot at West Burton Falls, Hawes, Swaledale and Gunnerside.

LAKES DAY
Shooting all day around Keswick we could visit Derwentwater, Castlerigg, ashness Bridge and the stunning views from Latrigg.

Your payment will be needed to confirm the booking. Courses cannot, unfortunately, be re-arranged due to Chris' work commitments although in cases of extreme weather (Heavy snows, blizzards, undriveable conditions etc) then Chris will be happy to re-arrange. In cases of rainy/drizzly/overcast days then the courses will run as normal as we can make images in these conditions.
