Chris is pleased to announce these newly revised "very limited" 2 night/3 full day residential workshops, each with a maximum of just 4 people per course!!!!! Don't miss this unique opportunity to work in a very small group alongside Chris, with lots of expert, personal tuition throughout!!

As well as a relaxing time away with your camera the courses will demonstrate all aspects of the photographic process: image capture, RAW file conversion, editing overview in Photoshop, and how to prepare the final image for print (all using photoshop elements 9, available for £60), (CS4 and lightroom will be used if people have those programs).

Expect to visit locations such as Grasmere, Rydal Water, Derwentwater, Ullswater, Blea Tarn, Buttermere, Ashness Bridge, Castlerigg etc with plenty of time for discussion and "classroom" based post-capture tuition/editing overviews. A typical day is broken up into a dawn shoot, followed by breakfast and then a meeting to plan the day ahead.

There will be a special hand-held module to get you shooting without a tripod, something very useful if on holiday, or working in awkard areas around woodlands etc.

Chris will run through all the main editing techniques, from RAW conversion through to photoshop editing and on the final day you will be able to select your favourite photograph of the course, which Chris will edit for you. The photograph will then be mounted for you to take home.

To ensure your photographic holiday is as relaxing and rewarding as possible you will be staying in your own en-suite room at the exclusive Inn-on-the-Lake on Ullswater or the Red Lion Hotel at Grasmere, depending on which course you choose. For hotel information visit the website RED LION HOTEL

As well as the photographic tuition the price includes all breakfasts and 3 course evening meal from the hotel's scrumptious main menu. Transport is normally provided for the duration of the courses unless exceptional circumstances mean that 2 cars may need to be used, though this has never been the case.

Course costs just £695 for the 2 nights/3 full days. (each course limited to just 4 people, early booking is recommended). A non-refundable deposit of £150 is payable at the time of booking, balance due 5 weeks prior to commencement of course. Courses begin at the hotel at around 10.45am on day one and normally end around sunset on the third day.

Partners are welcome and double rooms can be organised. There will be a surcharge to cover the difference between the single and double occupancy, including evening meal etc. Partners will not be able to attend the course itself, and would have to keep themselves busy until the course ends for the day, but would be welcome to join the rest of the group for dinner. Unfortunately no fees will be refundable after the balance has been paid, as other potential clients may have been turned away if the course was fully booked. I would strongly recommend taking out some kind of holiday insurance to cover you against illness etc, which would enable you to recover all or some of the monies paid should you be unable to attend. Companies like AA Travel Insurance can provide cover for up to £5000 for as little as £7
